Solar Leads
For residential solar installers and sales organizations that want homeowners who already know they're shopping for a system. We run straight ads with no 'free solar' angle, ask the questions your setter needs, and deliver phone-verified solar leads ready for a consultation.
Who this program is for
Companies that sell and install residential systems and run a setter and closer process, in the home or on a video call.
- Residential solar installers
- Dealer and sales organizations selling for an installer
- Regional installers working a few utility territories
- Battery and backup power installers
- Roofing companies that also install solar
- Teams running virtual consultations
What you can buy
Phone-verified quote requests
Homeowners asking what a system would look like on their house. Each lead carries their utility, bill range, roof and shade answers, and a phone number confirmed by text code.
Consultation-ready intake
A longer form for installers who want tighter filtering: ownership, credit range, buy or finance preference and the best time to talk, so your setter can book the consult on the first call.
Battery and backup leads
Homeowners asking about storage for outages, with or without panels. Fits installers who sell batteries as an add-on or on their own.
Inbound solar calls
A smaller, secondary channel. Homeowners who call from our ads, routed to your office by ZIP and hours.
Inbound solar calls
Solar is mostly a form business. Homeowners research for a while, compare quotes and expect a callback, so most of the volume in this program comes through forms. Calls are a smaller add-on, and we tell you that before you buy.
A solar caller dials a tracking number from our ad and reaches your setters by ZIP, utility territory and the hours you answer. The call bills once it meets a definition agreed before the first call, such as a call length plus confirmation that the caller owns the home and pays the electric bill.
You can leave calls out of your program, or keep them to a small daily cap your setters work between form callbacks.
- Tracking numbers by campaign
- Routing by ZIP, utility territory and setter hours
- A billable definition that checks ownership and who pays the bill
- Recordings your setter manager can review
- A small daily cap, or no calls at all
- The personCalls a tracking number from our ad or page
- The routingGoes to your team by ZIP and business hours
- Your teamPicks up a caller who asked for what you sell
- The billCounts once the call meets the definition we agreed
What we ask before a lead reaches you
Solar deals fall apart on ownership, shade and credit, so we ask about all three before a lead reaches you.
- Owns the home
- Utility company
- Monthly electric bill range
- Shade on the roof: none, some or heavy
- Roof age and condition
- Self-reported credit range
- Prefers to buy with cash, finance or lease
- Single-family home or another property type
Consent and compliance
Every lead is phone-verified by a text code (OTP) at submission and carries a TrustedForm certificate, so you have a record of consent tied to the exact page and wording the homeowner saw.
Our solar ads never use 'free solar', 'no-cost panels' or 'government program' angles. That passes up some cheap clicks and keeps homeowners who expect something for nothing out of your pipeline. You hold the contractor or electrical license, handle the disclosures your state requires for solar sales, loans and leases, and quote all savings, incentives and financing yourself. We quote none of it.
Run your own numbers
A solar lead only matters if it sits, signs and installs. Judge us on cost per install.
- 1Line
Cost per sit = what you pay per lead ÷ the share that sits for a consultation
- 2Line
Cost per signed contract = cost per sit ÷ your close rate on sits
- 3Line
Cost per install = cost per signed contract ÷ the share that survive site survey, financing and cancellation
- 4Line
Compare cost per install to your margin per system to set what a lead is worth to you
Questions buyers ask
Why don't you run free solar ads?
They pull in homeowners who expect something for nothing, and your setters spend the day correcting that. We have run paid media since 2008, and our solar ads talk about a system the homeowner buys or finances, so the people who respond expect a sales conversation.
Are the leads sold to me alone?
You choose. Leads can be sold to you alone, or shared with a set number of installers. The choice is written into your agreement.
Can I filter by utility or credit?
Yes. We can filter on utility territory, ZIP, bill range, shade, ownership and self-reported credit range. Tighter filters mean fewer leads, so we set them with you when we build the program.
Do you set the appointment?
We deliver the lead with the homeowner's answers and the best time to reach them. Your setter books the consultation.
What happens with a bad lead?
Return rules are written into your agreement before the first lead.
What areas do you cover and what does it cost?
Coverage and pricing are set per program after you apply, based on your markets and volume.
What does Apply now do?
You tell us your markets, volume and how you want leads delivered. We review it and come back with a program.
